Cold weather drains battery power-chemical reactions inside the battery slow down, and your engine needs more current to turn over. A battery that's fine in summer might struggle or fail in freezing temperatures.

**Simple care:**
- Keep battery terminals clean and corrosion-free.
- Have the battery tested annually, especially before winter.
- Drive regularly to keep it charged; short trips to the store don't help much.
- Avoid leaving lights or accessories on when the engine is off.
- If your battery is over three years old, consider a replacement check.

**If you're stuck:** A dead battery in winter isn't a failure-it's normal wear. A jump start, roadside assistance, or a visit to our Service team can get you going again.

Our Service department is equipped to test, replace, and maintain your battery. Call (877) 331-4442 to schedule a battery check or replacement.
